Mission Statement: 

To ensure quality care is provided to injured and orphaned native animals while providing sanctuary to both native and exotic species that cannot be released into the wild.  In addition to promote a better understanding of the critical role biodiversity plays to the well being of our planets ecosystems through advocacy and by providing science based environmental education programming.

Who We Are

North Mountain Wildlife Rescue is a nonprofit wildlife rehab, animal sanctuary and environmental education center located in Frederick County, Virginia.  We strive to provide quality care to injured and orphaned wildlife species in addition to promoting the long-term well being of exotic and native animal species that cannot be released into the wild.

 

North Mountain also works to promote public understanding of the role of biodiversity in maintaining health ecosystem through advocacy and the provision of science based environmental education programs
